2000 - 2001 Copywriter at Traffic Interactive Ltd (Proximity Group), London
Writing copy for blue chip clients at one of London’s top ten digital design agencies. Creating concepts for banner ads, viral marketing campaigns and on-line games.

Writing copy for websites and e-mail marketing. Clients include BT, BTcellnet, Emirates, Telegraph on-line, Dulux, Guinness, and FT.com. (My campaign concept for ‘FT.com Challenge’ was featured as ‘campaign of the week’ in Revolution magazine in November 2000).

I developed content for a baby food company website (‘Babytimes’).

1999 Creative Writer at Haines Recruitment Advertising, Auckland
I wrote recruitment press ads for this recruitment advertising agency.

1998 Creative Writer at Surf 107FM, Brighton, England
I wrote radio ads for this new alternative rock station.

1996 - 1998 Creative Writer at Ogilvy and Mather Retail, Auckland
I wrote TV, radio, press, magazine, catalogue and direct for a range of retail accounts, including Farmers (a Bhs-like department store), Deka, Freedom Furniture, Amcal Chemists, and Holiday Shoppe. During this time Farmers was New Zealand’s highest billing retail client.

1994 - 1996 Creative Writer at Primedia, Auckland
As a member of the seven-strong Primedia creative team I wrote radio commercials for seven metropolitan stations in the Independent Broadcasting Company. Working for many different clients - from insurance companies to noodle bars and car dealers to funeral parlours - I needed to be adaptable and innovative.

1991 - 1992 Creative Writer at Kiwi FM, Hamilton
I was employed as a creative writer, and also regularly voiced ads for airplay, performed on-air announcing shifts, presented in-store promotions and live-to-air crosses, and liaison with clients.

I was part of a team of four writers, and also performed voice work.

I wrote commercials, announced part-time and trained as a newsreader.

Working at the Court Theatre, the most successful professional theatre in the country, enabled me to marry my love of theatre with my organisational abilities.

I taught classes in spontaneity, games, voice and movement for children aged 8-13.
